Dear Lover of Life,
These past two months have been so busy, settling ourselves into our new
home, following up on our 4th anniversary meeting, campaigning to defeat the
legalisation of embryonic stem cell research, plus, through these, making
contact with wonderful new people who care for God’s Special Little Ones at risk
at all stages of life.
The original bill was split into two, and human cloning has been banned. But
the bill to legalise the killing of human embryos for their stem cells has been
passed by the Lower House. The only hope we have to save Australia from this
abomination, is to earnestly beseech God’s Mercy on our nation and its children,
and to write to all senators asking them to vote NO to this disastrous piece of
legislation.
I have been astounded and frustrated by the ignorance at all levels on this
issue. The media has done a great job at brainwashing, and at the same time
built up many false hopes for miraculous cures, and a life free of pain and
suffering. I suppose when people believe this life is all they have to hope for,
it’s not surprising that they are so easily deceived. Our local MP here in
Lismore, Ian Causley, refuses to acknowledge the humanity of these little ones,
as have so many other politicians.
If you haven’t taken any action yet please do so urgently. The cut-off point
is 24th October, when the investigating Senate Committee will report to Senators
on their findings, and Senators will vote. I am happy to supply all the
information you will need to be able to write – just ask!
Remember to mark your calendars so you can pray and fast for the Helpers
of God’s Precious Infants who are on the street outside the abortuary in
Tweed Heads each second Friday – 11th October, 8th November, and 13th
December. If you can be there – all the better! They are seeking new pray-ers.
Our own meetings for the rest of 2002 are 19 October, 16 November, and 21
December. Please come if you can and if you can’t come bring a friend! Or at
least be with us in prayer!
May God hold you in the Palm of His Hand,
Angela

A Timeline and
Snippets from:
The Menace of FPA
An Expose of the
Family Planning Associations in Australia
This 24-page booklet is well referenced and contains a great
deal of useful information. It is written and published by C. O’Loughlin, PO Box
1358, Rozelle NSW 2039
1926 Racial Hygiene Association of NSW founded by Lil Goodisson with
Women’s Reform League 1932 At the AGM on 18-7-32 after discussing venereal
disease, President Victor Roberts states: There are larger questions, such as
clash of colour & the mixing of the races. Our society has interested itself in
these matters.
1933 First birth control clinic established in Sydney for the purpose of
improving the race by preventing births among “those physically and mentally
unfit”. Concern was racial purity and many letters were sent to NSW Health
Minister calling for special schools, segregation farm colonies, and compulsory sterilisation of the mentally deficient and mentally ill. AfterWW2 knowledge of
horrific Nazi eugenic practices set back the cause of eugenics — for a while.
1956 Eugenics movements decide on taking a more underground approach.
Frederick Osborne stated people “won’t accept they are, in general, second rate.
We must rely on other motivation — a system of voluntary unconscious selection.”
The way to persuade people was to appeal to the idea of the wanted child. He
stated boldly: The eugenics goal is most likely to be attained under a name
other than eugenics. Genetics counselling was highly recommended and has led to
routine killing of embryonic humans at IVF “clinics” in the name of quality
control. (1998/9 Annual Report of FPA/Australia lists IVF veterinary scientist,
Alan Trounson on its Reproductive Services Committee) Dr. Carlos Blacker, of
British Eugenics Society, also Admin Chairman of International Planned
Parenthood proposes -“that Society should pursue eugenic ends by less obvious
means, that is by a policy of crypto-eugenics, which is apparently proving
successful in the US Eugenics Society” adopted.
1960 name changed to Family Planning Association.
1969 became affiliated with International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF)
- the world’s largest abortion provider.
Early 1970’s Influx of feminists and secular humanists leads to a
feminist emphasis and more permissive view of sex, but not to a lessening of the
eugenics motivation.
1973 Whitlam government’s first commitment of funds to FPA.
Abortionist Malcolm Potts, former head of IPPF states: “As people turn to
contraception, there will be a rise, not a fall, in the abortion rate.” He is
right - Contraception not only fails to stop but leads to an increase in
abortions: In NSW in 60’s we had at most a few hundred abortions — now 40,000
per year.
1974 Whitlam Government starts Medical Benefit Funding of abortion.
Medibank and Medicare has since funded over a million abortions.
1976 Australia’s birthrate falls below 2.1
1983 FPA lobbies for l4yr olds to get their own Medicare cards so they
could get birth control without their parent’s consent.
1984 ALP adopts pro-abortion platform by endorsing its support for
“the particular right of women to choice of fertility control and abortion.”
Anti-life mentality engendered by abortion leads to euthanasia in NT,
fortunately overturned by Commonwealth Government. Involuntary euthanasia is
already practiced in the form of abortion of handicapped unborn children
1991 FPA/WA in forefront of attack on WA Health Minister’s “It’s OK to
say No!” campaign.
1992 FPA/NSW brings out “Fantasy and Fact File” diary and “Making
Sense of Sex Hotline” funded by Federal Government thus encouraging promiscuity
- good for business! Pushes condoms as solution for the problem of Aids, in
spite of evidence to the contrary and a 12% failure rate in preventing
pregnancy. FPA Schools Program Yr 9 & 10 lists abortion as a pregnancy option,
thus equating killing babies with letting them live.
1995 low-dose “Contraceptive” Pill linked to breast cancer. Studies
show 200-500% increase in breast and cervical cancers m pill users, under 24’s
particularly vulnerable. See www.abortionbreastcancer.com for abortion —breast
cancer link.
1996 FPA/Vic sends information kits on Morning after Pill to hundreds
of high schools and pushes for it to be sold without prescription.
1997-8 Annual Report FPA/Australia states: “Family Planning has a
charter to target members of socially & economically disadvantaged groups, e.g
Non-English Speaking Background communities, unemployed young people, indigenous
Australians, people with disabilities and their carers, and rural communities.
Our targeting of these people is reflected in both the profile of our clinic
clients and our education programs as well as where we locate our centers. Why
these groups? To provide food, clothing, education or better health? No. To
provide explicit sex education, contraceptives, sterilisation, abortion
referrals and abortions? Yes - none of which can improve their lot.
1998 FPA/NSW alone received $6,801,291 in government grants.
1999 London Economist 25/9 stressed that humanity faces the threat of
a population implosion.
FPA’s strong links with abortion industry:
• FPA activist, Stefania Siedlecky,
is the first doctor at Leichhardt Women’s Health Centre providing abortion as a
routine part of its health “services”.
• Preterm, first open established
abortion clinic in Australia’s Medical Director, Dr. Dorothy Nolan, is also
Honorary Medical Officer at FPA 72-73, and on its Medical Advisory Board 75-79.
All Preterm initial staff had training and experience with FPA.
• David Grundmann, Brisbane’s
notorious “partial birth” abortionist is a life member of FPA/Queensland.
• Two women are known to have died
after abortions at Westmead Centre run by three doctors, one of whom is a long
time member of FPA/NSW Medical Advisory Board
CONCLUSION
• FPA is at the forefront of the
“culture” of death and has a pervasive influence in schools.
• Most of its “services”, especially
its promotion of youth promiscuity, abortion and abortifacient drugs/devices,
are dangerous to the health of women, children and society, and will lead to the
perceived “need” for euthanasia.
• All funding of FPA will further
drive down our already devastatingly low birthrate (most recent census showed
1.7)
• Government funding must be
stopped.
Prayer to the Virgin Mother Mary
O Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of
us all,
We turn to you today as the one who
said "Yes" to Life.
"You will conceive and bear a Son,"
the angel told you.
Despite the surprise and the
uncertainty about how this could be, you said yes. "Be it done unto me according
to your word."
Mary, we pray today for all mothers
who are afraid to be mothers.
We pray for those who feel threatened
and overwhelmed by their pregnancy. Intercede for them, that God may give them
the grace to say yes
and the courage to go on.
May they have the grace to reject the
false solution of abortion.
May they say with you, "Be it done
unto me according to your word."
May they experience the love of
Christian people,
and know the peace that comes from
doing God's will. Amen. (Priests for Life)
Are you able to help out here?
Dear Angela,
On behalf of St. Elizabeth’s Pregnancy Care, I am replying to your email to
Fran.
If at any time your readers have baby clothes that they do not require I
would be most grateful for them to use in our layettes. When preparing layette I
usually give six of each garment required for Baby - both new and used clothing
ranging from 0000 to 0 in sizes. Layette is in neutral colours, and if Baby is a
girl, I then offer pink clothing to parents.
My work is very rewarding. To see the look on our client’s face when given
the layette is worth every minute that is spent preparing clothing etc. We have
people who do beautiful knitting, and our mothers are astounded to think that a
complete stranger has given such a beautiful gift for their child. Even the Dads
take pride in opening the layette with Mum.
My last layette was given to a young couple, and it was a joy just watching
their faces when looking at the clothes. The father was so excited, he lifted
the garments and said, “It really makes us recognise that the baby is real and
will be so small when it is born.”
Hearing these comments is what makes our work worthwhile. Knowing that we are
there to offer help and support - not only for the parents - but saving the
lives of our dear little unborn babies.
I wish you every success in your work. May God bless and guide you all. Love,
Noreen Fuller St. Elizabeth’s Pregnancy Care, 28 Wallace Street, Macksville 2447
| Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I need your help. You see, I’m so tiny and helpless. I want to grow
up in a family, just like a normal person. |
Some big scientists are experimenting with me. They say they want to use me
to make sick people better, but I know that’s wrong, because I’m a Child of God
too. God loves me just like He loves you. They don’t think I’m a human person,
but I’m already complete. I only need food and a nice safe place to develop and
grow up like you did.
God already knows my eye colour and whether my hair will be straight or
curly, and how my personality will develop. He said “Before I formed you in the
womb I knew you.” How’s that?!
Those scientists – they don’t know God – but you know God – and you can talk
to God for me. Ask Him to change their hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. I
want to have a heart of flesh, then maybe I’ll be able to help sick people
myself one day!
We are all going to die one day, ( you too!). That doesn’t make it right to
kill me.
Only those big senator people down there in Canberra can stop me being
killed. So can you please write to them and ask them when it’s all going to
stop. Ask them to save me from being used to test cosmetics on, and to see how
poisons and drugs work. Now I’m here I want to stay, and pick flowers for my Mum
and go to the park with Dad or whatever it is that kids do.
You will make God very happy.
Love from Emm Bryo

| NICARAGUAN BISHOP SAYS "SHOOT THE TV!" MANAGUA, Nicaragua,
December 27, 01 (CWNews.com) – Nicaraguan Bishop Abelardo Matta Guevara
of Esteli has told Catholics that they should be willing to "shoot the
TV set," if necessary, to protect their family life. During a Christmas
Mass celebrated at Esteli's cathedral, Bishop Matta addressed the crisis
of family life, pointing to the fact that the growing presence of
violent youth gangs had forced the diocese to cancel all late-night
Masses on Christmas Eve. "Obviously our city of Esteli requires a deep
process of healing," he said; "but this process will only start from
within our homes." "We urgently need to recover family unity and
spiritual principles, because our society is falling apart because of
the lack of virtues." Speaking to parents, the bishop said "you must be
willing to do everything possible to protect values within your
families. Shoot the TV set if it is necessary to keep anti-values away!
